Unwanted items
Please note we do not supply items on a "Sale or Return" basis. Due to the nature of our spare parts products and the actions of some customers we will only consider a return if the item is faulty. For new "Boxed" items if, after buying an item over the phone or online, you would like to return it then please notify us via email or telephone within 14 days of receiving the item. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us in its original, unopened packaging. When we receive the item, we will refund the full cost of the item but NOT the original cost of shipping. We do not refund the cost of the return postage for unwanted items unless it is an item received in error.
Faulty or incorrect items
On the odd occasion that an item may arrive faulty please contact us before returning it. It maybe that we can help sort out a problem over the phone or resolve the issue in a way that doesn’t involve you sending the item back to us. New Hornby items can normally be returned direct to them for attention as is often quicker than returning the item to us. You can still return an item to us if they are unable to help. Hornby products are guaranteed for 1 year but the company will often support customers with faulty products for much longer so please contact them direct.
All of our second hand items come with a three month warranty although some parts are excluded from this such as early Hornby Smoke Units.
Whatever the problem, please remember to contact us first before returning anything. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us.
